Last week the Hubby and I went to Disneyland with some family.  We had planned to head south to visit family and our day trip to this fun place was a last minute addition.  And I am so glad we did.  I used to visit almost every year as a young lad and I always had the time of my life.  My mom always let us roam around with out any adult supervision and I loved that little bit of freedom I received at the happiest place on earth.  Of course we had meet up's througout the day but overall it was just me, my sister and other family friends our age.  I hadn't been in eight and half years and I appreciated every moment.  If you've never been try to go you won't be disappointed.

This lace jacket looks like it belongs in a garden.  I don't know what it is but I love anything textured.  Textured fabric elevates any outfit or garment piece.  Can't wait to style this with other items in my closet. 

Date Night.

We try our best to do date nights and we used to be great at it but with a busy schedule across the board we often find ourselves just staying home because, well we get tired.  Last Thursday though we made it a point to get out and have alittle dinner out.

And we went to our favorite Mexican Taco joint.  It is the best in town.  And as usual I ordered the basics: chicken and fish tacos with onions, cilantro and extra lime juice.

This is my new favorite shoe!  It has all the details I enjoy in a shoe and the 2 inch heel is a plus.  Being on my feet all day warrants a careful eye on the heel height of a shoe or else I will hobbling home!  I bought them recently on sale at J Crew and I am thinking of purchasing another pair. That's usually how I role, If I enjoy the first so much I add a second you never know when you'll find something you like that much.

 I found this top at BR on markdown and I was really pleased with the fit and material.  The material of a garment is extremely important to me.  Eventhough I'm not a tailor or a designer, though I have had my tailor turn old items into new jewels,  I do expect alot out of the brands I purchase from.  Natural fibers are the best with the occasional man made material thrown in.  So good job BR, keep it up.  

Oh! I almost forgot to mention my favorite water bottle which to me looks lilke graph paper. I love it. For some reason it makes the water taste that much better.

For the Curious: the material is a cotton & nylon blend

Palm Beach.

In June the hubby and I went to Florida to visit some friends here are few pictures of how we spent our days.  We had a great time however the weather (there I go talking about weather again) really made me feel dirty all the time.  Come to find out our friends informed us that it was actually really good weather and normally it is alot worse.  Geez, Floridians I have to hand it over to you!

Would I go back?  Absoulutely. I have been to Florida twice now this year.  The first time was in Miami and now Palm Beach and despite the Humidity the state has grown on me!  I think it's because the beaches are great.  Next time I hope to go to Key West.

Much of the country is on fire. Well except for Washington state, according to Yahoo. But I don't live there and boy.. I wish I did. This was me Sunday just trying my best to look cute for Church while showing no sweat marks. I know this is ugly talk but it's the truth and like the sayin goes "the truth hurts".  Do your best to stay fresh, hydrated and cute!
