28 on the 25th

This is me on my birthday and I wore this outfit all day which I rarely do. I turned 28 on Tuesday the 25th. I worked all day so I did not have the whole day to celebrate and do fun activities for instance treat yourself to a spa visit... but my husband made it better than a day of lavishing yourself. The day started with an early breakfast, of my favorite ( eggs overeasy, tomatoes and avocado with a fresh cup of french press coffee), flowers sent to my work, French macaroons when he came home and dinner at a restaurant that not only serves food that is locally growned  but everything is made from scratch, the only freezer they have is for the ice cream. Now that's what I talking about. It was truely a special day because of him!!

Boiling

The whole outfit is J.Crew..previous seasons.


 The weather is barely refelecting Fall which makes me so sad and on this particular day it was 90 degrees out thus I was boiling. But even though it was clearly not blazer weather I still wore my linen jacket It makes the outfit look polished.

Un-Suitable

Outfit Deatils: Chambray shirt-J.crew, Vest-Madewell, Skirt-J.crew, Booties-J.crew.

This outfit I wore to work. Now.. I have alittle bit of flexibility in what I get to wear to work which is great for someone who, like me, likes the idea of a suit and that's about it. That's not to say I will not wear one it just has to be interesting. This outfit includes my go to pieces that complete a seamless look: collared shirt, skirt, third piece (i.e.blazer, vest) and wedges. Now some women say to me that they do not look good in neither one of these pieces.. and I say "Yah right! There has to be at least one that flatters you". To find that piece you just have to shop around and find a brand that fits you well which will require trying on clothes!! I know this may sound like I am pushing you..ok just alittle.

Favorite Blouse

This blouse has become one of my favorite blouses. I found it at a local Goodwill store and immediately was drawn to the pattern. I felt the material and in my mind I hoped that is was not polyester and instead hoped for silk. Not because I hate polyester but because finding silk at such a low price makes a thrift shopper believe that she has hit the "JACKPOT" and that is exactly how I felt that early summer day this year. I have recently become a major thrift shopper and I have had a blast!! My thrift shopping extravaganzas have resulted in some great wardrobe additions that I will share soon. But, back to the top my favorite detail I love speak about is that it is actually a size 18.. hence the blousy look. Oh! I almost forgot it's on backwards to. Never under estimate a piece of clothing's potential.

First Time...

This is my very first post on my very own style blog and although I have been a follower of blogs for quite some time I never imagined me... joining the virtual world of style bloggers.
